Nog

Nog is my signature approach to woodcraft—where tradition meets texture. Inspired by the Japanese technique yakisugi (charred wood), Nog involves carefully burning the surface of the wood, then brushing and carving into it to reveal its raw, natural tones beneath the char. The result is a striking contrast between deep, darkened grain and warm, untouched wood—like fire revealing the soul of the material.

It's not just about aesthetics; Nog celebrates imperfection, resilience, and the quiet drama of nature shaped by hand.
